Trimark Associates, Inc. is Hiring a Senior Technical Writer Near Folsom, CA

The Opportunity

Join our Technology team as a Technical Writer. Working under the direction of the Vice President of Software Engineering, the Technical Writer is responsible for creating clear and comprehensive technical documentation for our diverse range of energy solutions. They collaborate closely with developers, engineers, and subject matter experts to produce high-quality documentation that facilitates a seamless understanding of our products and technologies. 

The Team

You will report to our VP of Software Engineering and work with our engineering and technology teams, as well as collaborate across the organization.

The Environment

This role can be successfully performed in Office-Based, Home-Based (US only), or Flex-Based work locations. You will work in a controlled office environment or from your Home-Based worksite, as well as virtually with your team members. Occasional travel to our corporate headquarters in Folsom, CA may be required for collaboration, training, and team building.

Growth & Development

You will have the opportunity to work alongside our subject matter experts to further develop your knowledge of software development and energy resource management.

Your Key Contributions

  • Collaborate with developers, engineers, and product managers to understand technical concepts and translate them into user-friendly documentation.
  • Produce clear and concise technical documentation, including user manuals, API documentation, and system architecture guides based on engineering drawing, technical information from engineering documentation, consultations with developers, project managers and other available sources.
  • Experienced in creating materials for training and education. This includes but not limited to video(s), instructor lead examples, tips/tricks quick sheet and testing material.
  • Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect changes in technology, product features, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to stay informed about product updates and enhancements.
  • Assist end-users by providing documentation that aids in the effective implementation and utilization of our energy solutions.
  • Address user inquiries and feedback to continually improve the quality and usability of documentation.

Traits for Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Computer Science, or related field
  • 1-3 years professional experience as a technical writer in a technology focused environment
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Advanced comprehension of complex technical concepts
  • Strong aptitude for managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of version control systems
  • Knowledge of energy industry standards and regulations

Pay Transparency

This announcement is open to Senior job levels. The base pay range for this position is $88,400-109,200/year, with starting salary typically in the low to mid-range for the job level. This is an overtime Exempt position. Compensation is based on market rate, job level, job related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and certifications. This is a Full Time opportunity.
